1. Azure foundations
A manageable Azure environment starts with identity, networking, compute, storage and clear management boundaries. These foundations support Azure Virtual Desktop and other suitable workloads without resources becoming difficult to oversee.
Compute and storage
Virtual machines, disks, files and other storage services are matched to applications, capacity, performance, access and recovery. Technical decisions account for operating hours, data growth, management effort and costs.
Networks and secure connectivity
Azure resources require controlled access from offices, home workplaces, other cloud environments and management networks. suXus designs addressing, segmentation, name resolution, routing and secure connectivity alongside identity and access policies.
2. Migration and management
Controlled migration
Migration starts with an inventory of workloads, data, integrations, ownership and dependencies. suXus then establishes a feasible sequence, test and acceptance criteria, fallback scenarios and the point at which the new environment becomes authoritative.
Monitoring and management
suXus implements appropriate alerts for availability, capacity, security and costs. Updates and changes are planned, documented and checked. Documentation covers the current configuration, management boundaries and necessary recovery procedures.
Cost control
Azure costs depend on capacity, operating hours, storage, data transfer, licences and architecture. suXus provides insight into usage, assesses deviations and discusses improvements without silently reducing availability or recoverability.
3. Continuity
Availability and recovery
Redundancy does not automatically provide a backup. Recovery objectives, retention periods, dependencies and test procedures are defined for each workload. Azure Backup and cloud recovery remain part of Protection by suXus; traditional infrastructure backup is covered separately under Backup and continuity.

The organisation and its management partner remain responsible for configuration, identities, access, data, workloads, monitoring, costs and recovery decisions. suXus documents the tasks assigned to each party and any handovers or dependencies for each environment.
